I have no idea how you managed to get me twice with this game, even with all of the build up walking down the steps, still you made me jump with the giant clipping through the ceiling. Also the ending with the speed in which he grabs you, that was great.
Could use a bit of bug fixing. I kept getting stuck on the stairs if I ran, not sure by what, felt like an invisible wall. One other thing was the elevator, I tried to go past it without realising till I hit another invisible wall and could not go further, just sticking a light in the elevator would have helped to make sure I knew that was where I was meant to go.
So download the latest Version (by now 1.3), right click the downloaded file in the explorer and click on "Extract to folder" or something. Then a new Window should appear. just click on "Extract" and then wait until another explorer window pops up. Now run the "After School.exe" File. I hope you understood that! ;)
This was the first game I played in this video. I really like how simple this game was. The build up to the reveal of the monster was pretty good too! If I were to be nitpicky, I'd say maybe give the player some sort of assurance that the game is finished, maybe a proper ending, instead of just shutting the game off. Other than that, VERY ENJOYABLE! GOOD WORK!
Well, the game looks interesting, the idea too, but I think it's a bit... empty of content, in my opinion. It has the potential to be better developed, but maybe that will happen in the next games. Despite that, congratulations on your work, and keep it up!
Overall not bad, but a few points: 1. The run button basically serves no purpose as there's no stamina bar and you'll be running all the time anyway. Coupled with walking speed being way too slow.
2. Dying to a monster on the stairs resets you to the very top which feels kind of anticlimactic because the section is quite long and with tension build up lost it's quite boring.
3. Throughout the entire chase sequence you basically never see the monster because you can outrun him very easily.
4. The final scene cracked me up because the motionless A-posing figure basically looks like the picture.
I just played the scp-087 so this was ptsd to me lol I did enjoy it ; I just wish ether the staircase wasn't so long or that more jumpscares actually happened on it. Overall great job , keep it up! Your game starts at 00:24
Scary! Feels like playing SCP-087 for some reason. When I first encounter the "monster" down the stairs, there is invisible wall blocking my way up, was that intentional or just a bug?
It's an bug, and I tried so much to fix it, but good that you tried again, because others just stopped at the point when they were stuck and thought, that this was the whole game xd
